Feminine Effects
Of Montreal put this out on a split 7” with Deerhoof. Listen for yours truly on pedal steel guitar. There’s a lot in there, and Kevin even let me do the big cheesy chords that I love so much. listen here
New Of Montreal record Paralytic Stalks has landed. It features some Bob Parins pedal steel guitar on Wintered Debts and a lot of great stuff from our good buddies Zac Colwell (Fancy Colors) and K Ishibashi (Kishi bashi).

Producer Jason Finkel’s Sonic Scoop article
I went down to Jason Finkel’s studio 4a the other day to play guitar and be recorded for the audio samples that accompany an article he wrote for Sonicscoop.com. A thoughtful and interesting lesson/philosophical musing on how to record guitars.
Our Idiot Brother is out this weekend! It features music by Eric D Johnson (Fruit Bats), Nathan Larson, Willie Nelson, and I play Pedal Steel Guitar. Check it out!
“You’re Gone” (Lucky Little Guy) is being licensed for use in Fairhaven, a new indie film. It’s going to Sundance and some other festivals this fall. Listen for my song in the background (for about one minute) during a scene on the lobster boat.
Hey, the new VETIVER record has been announced! It’s called the Errant Charm and is coming out via Sub Pop on June 14th, but for now you can get a free download of one of the tracks HERE. I play bass, of course, and sing backing vocals here and there. There’s also a touch of pedal steel guitar sprinkled in on one song. Weee!
